Chelsea’s Zabi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho reportedly fall under the sale of Wataway Forward Christopher Nucank. The Frenchman is not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans this season, and the arrival of Joa Pedro and Liam Dellup highlights how well he fell at Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku has struggled with fitness and form since joining Blues in a deal worth £52 million for RB Leipzig’s Blues two seasons ago, and Chelsea hopes to reclaim some of that fees before continuing with cash.
Maresca has welcomed numerous new arrivals to his rank over the past few months, but the former Leicester City boss feels that his reconstruction is not yet perfect. Instead, he pours reinforcements on both ends of the pitch to make sure his team feels ready to compete in all aspects.
Chelsea are keen to bring in another winger to compete with a new signature to sign Jamie Gittens for the left-wing start spot, with Manchester United’s Garnacho being a finalist as the top target for the role. Similarly, a multi-purpose forward that can be played anywhere across the front line is a priority, and therefore talks are underway over RB Leipzig’s Simons contract.
However, the Guardian reports that Chelsa is waiting to sell nkunku before accelerating consultations with both the aforementioned stars. Bayern Munich had previously pushed to sign a contract for the 27-year-old, but they submitted an option to buy last weekend to offer a loan.
However, discussions between the clubs have stagnated as Bruce refused the offer as he is trying to sell the nkunku forever. This opened the door for former PSG star, former Club Leipzig, to approach.
Bundesliga’s outfit “strengthened their efforts” to bring Nkunku back to the club, and the players themselves are said to be open to returning to Red Bull Arena. All parties are growing confidently in their transactions, but there is no concrete agreement at this stage.
Chelsea hopes Stamford Bridge’s higher powers will choose to move, as opposed to bringing in any more new signatures until Nkunku and some of the other fringe players move.
