Former Zimbabwean soccer player Tendi Ndoro passed away tragically at the age of 40. The former striker died at his Johannesburg home. He reportedly was battling a long-term illness.
Ndoro represented Zimbabwe 14 times between 2013 and 2017, scoring five goals. He also played for the Teams Orlando Pirates in South Africa, Ajacques Cape Town and Highland Park, and worked for Saudi Arabia in Oman, featuring Al Faisari and Al Oluba.
One of his former clubs, the Orlando Pirates, expressed his sadness in a statement. “We are deeply saddened to learn that former striker Tentinudro has passed away.
Another of his previous teams expressed their sadness on social media. “Cape Town Spurs FC is saddened by the death of former Ajacques Cape Town player Tendai Nudoro. We express our sincere adorable dol to Tendai’s family and friends. He please rest in peace.”
During his tenure with the Orlando Pirates from 2015 to 2017, Ndoro scored an impressive 25 goals in 48 league matches. His performance had a lasting impact on the club’s fans.
One supporter said, “It’s so heartbreaking. Tendai Nudro will always be remembered for the joy he brought to the game and the memories he gave us. Meaning of my deepest sadness to his family and the Pirates family as a whole.
Another fan said, “I’ll never forget his screams against Kaiser’s chief… Lip legend Ndoro.”
