Newcastle United have launched their Premier League campaign with a goalless draw at Aston Villa.
Eddie Howe admits that Alexander Isaac’s future depends on the Newcastle Striker’s hopes. Toon felt that Isaac was not eager to join Liverpool as Aston Villa’s Premier League Curtain Razor.
Isaac was ruled out by Hau as Swedish international attempts to force him to leave St. James’ Park. Liverpool was denied a bid early in the summer. Hau repeated his stance that if he wanted to be, but only the players are in control, the doors remain open for Isaac to be reintegrated into the team.
“I certainly don’t control that,” Howe said. “And I think there’s really only one person who can control it. Nothing has changed, but he has to decide what he wants to do.
“I mean, that’s the fastest way. But of course, Alex is in control of what he’s doing. I don’t have control over him because that’s always the news around us. The players were able to lock it out and do it. We have to keep doing it.”
Hau refused to speculate whether Magpies would by the Villa in Isaac with the team.

“I don’t think that’s a story we want to go down, because it’s easy to say, but you have no way of knowing whether it’s true or not,” he said. “Of course, you’re missing out on someone who scores the goals that Alex has, not just the goals, but the caliber of his players.
“So we’re not stupid enough to think of something different, but we have to look and talk about the players here and the players they gave us today. It’s very easy for players to get into the game or make excuses that they’re ready, but there were no signs in our performance.”
The draw meant that Villa would be at least a calendar year without a home defeat in the Premier League. They were dominant when Ezri Consa was fired for carrying Anthony Gordon away as Newcastle was on the finish line. However, they were firmly restrained with ten men and never seemed to admit it.
“We’re not happy when we’re losing two points at home,” boss Unai Emery said. “But after the red card, you have to be confident in your next match.
“Today was a very good test. This is the level we’ll face this year in the Premier League and Europa League.”
