The Wolves paid a surprising tribute to former star Diogo Jota ahead of the Premier League opening game against Manchester City.
The tragic wife and parents of Diogo Jota’s tears were wiped out at Molynu on Saturday night as the wolves paid tribute to the former player in a stunning TIFO ahead of the Premier League Curtain Razor against Manchester City.

Jota and Andre Silva’s parents, who died along with their siblings in a Spanish car accident, also attended the match. Like Jota’s wife, Isabelle and Joakim Silva shed tears.
As the clock passed the 18-minute mark on the encounter, the supporters around the ground stood up and applauded for 60 seconds.
Jota moved from Wolves to Liverpool in 2020, spending five years at Anfield, and on Friday the Premier League opener against Bournemouth in Liverpool also paid much respect to Jota.
Liverpool head coach Arne Slot confirmed the post-match match that he would not have been able to call Jota from the bench of his replacement when his side was chasing the winner.
“Usually, at 2-2, everyone knows which player I’m looking for at the moment,” Slot said. “I wanted to bring in a Diogo Jota, but for awful reasons I couldn’t do it. But tonight, fans and players have done things he’s done many times in the past.”
Match hero Federico Chiesa won Liverpool’s Go-Ard goal 3-2, paying tribute to Jota in a post-match interview, saying, “The goal) was a great moment for me, but my thoughts go to Diogo.
