With the Premier League back, soccer fans can get Sky Sports at 66 points per day. The 2025/26 season began on Friday as Liverpool scored all three points in their home game against Bournemouth.
This opening weekend is still Chelsea vs Crystal Palace and Man United vs Arsenal. Both of these games will only be broadcast on Sky Sports. Broadcasters will expand Premier League coverage from 128 games to a minimum of 215 coverage this season.
Sky claims this is 80% of all Premier League matches aired. To catch all these fixtures, soccer fans will need to secure a Sky Sports subscription in addition to 1,000 live games across EFL, SPFL, WSL and Bundesliga.
This amounts to around 66p per day over 30 days, with access to nine Sky Sports channels, including Main Event, Premier League, Football, Formula 1, Golf and Tennis. It also includes the recently released Sky Sports+ Channel at no additional cost. This includes live streams of over 1,000 live EFL games, all Carabao Cup Fixtures, and all matches from Men’s Rugby Super League.
The only catch is that people without an existing Sky Package will need to combine Sky Sports with TV with the Netflix plan. However, those total plans were revamped last year and now start at £35 for Essential TV and Sky Sports Bundle, Miller reports.
This includes over 100 regular TV channels, such as Sky Atlantic, as well as free Netflix and Discovery+ subscriptions. For an additional £20, customers can also add TNT sports to their package. This saves a lot compared to the £30.99 subscription fee directly on Discovery+ Premium, allowing you to enjoy European competitions next season.
Sky’s offer will get hot right after Virgin Media’s Summer of Sports Sale. This will offer significant discounts throughout the Sky Sports package until September 2nd. This includes eight TV channels for Sky Sports, including Main Event, Football and Formula 1.
It also includes 516Mbps fiber broadband, all of which have been reduced from £65.99 to £54.99. This saves £264. The downside of both Sky and Virgin’s plans is that customers experience at least two invoice hikes over the 24-month period, as each provider raises prices each year in April.
This year, Sky has increased 6.2% to TV customers, but has yet to confirm adjustments for next year. Virgin already confirmed that the larger combo bundle + Sport will rise to £58.49 from April 2026 and £61.99 from April 2027.
What sets Sky apart from its competitors is the option of terminating its contract after it is announced that price increases, a feature that Virgin does not offer.
