Manchester United began their Premier League season with a disappointing home defeat against Arsenal, an early goal for Riccardo Calafioli, who passed Mikel Arteta’s victory at Old Trafford
The more things change, the more they remain the same. Manchester United fell to a 1-0 loss to Arsenal at Old Trafford after losing to the opening Premier League match of the season.
The Gunners winner should have come like that. Reuben Amorim may have taken £200 million in a new offense this summer, but his confirmation from the corner has plagued United more than any other side of the past two seasons. Since the beginning of 2023-24, no one has recognized much from the corner than 23 goals in the Premier League.
Conversely, over the same period, Arsenal scored 31 times. It’s 11 more than the next highest: Liverpool of 20.
All of that fingers are pointed to in “Seaper Keeper Altai Bay Indeal” for his role in the winner of Riccardo Calafiori – and is actually pointed out to Turkey International as the finger is the weakest amount of goalkeeping under the smallest pressure from William Saliba – the goal was a continuation of United’s very familiar theme.
Amorim promised a new era when he spoke to the crowd at the end of last season, but he needs to counteract such familiar issues. They continue to sacrifice his side until he does. And such a stupid goal will continue to be accepted unless his players are willing to point their fingers at each other and call for mistakes.
“When you touch the goalkeeper and he can’t jump, it makes it difficult for Bay Indeal,” said Bruno Fernandez. “And unfortunately, he couldn’t move that away from his goal.”

Roy Keene from Sky Sports’ match wasn’t very forgiving and not roa: “It belongs to a male student!”
United looked much better than the side that finished 15th last season. The worst top flight campaign since 1974. In fact, Amorim insisted, “We deserve more. We were a better team, but it’s clear we lost.”
This was far from a vintage performance from Arsenal. They were below some of their best. However, they leave with three points and a success on the first day, leaving their home. For all their huffs and puffs, United had nothing.
In fact, Arsenal allowed 22 shots to his target. When United last managed a lot against the Premier League gunners, they scored 25 and 8 points on the infamous 8-2 thrashing 14 years ago. This time, David Raya made only one true memo save, a glorious, low-directed save, to reject Matthews Kuña, £62.5 million.
For Amorim, it was his 15th loss in 28 Premier League matches. Surprisingly, it’s the fastest manager to reach 15 losses on top flights since Paul Hart recorded 15 losses in 2009 in 15 matches in 27 matches as Portsmouth boss 16 years ago.
Unless he improves the defense of the side in the set piece, it’s almost certainly going to continue. He can focus on “doing him” as he pleases. But they also need to do the rest right.
