The palace boss also insisted on a report that Eze’s future should take salt in a pinch.
“Sorry, that’s not personal to you, but I said it’s good advice for kids, especially on the internet, and I don’t always believe what you read, and here’s the same,” Glasner said at his press conference after the goalless Premier League opener against Chelsea.
“Who knows this is true, what is written? There are rumors and a lot of rumors, and everyone may be telling someone something for his own advantage.
“And I know, I see players every day in training sessions and we meet them.
“And again, if everything or most of what’s written about them were true, they couldn’t function like this. The teams couldn’t be together like this. The teams couldn’t commit to each other like they did. That’s impossible.
“So I’m pretty calm. But I also know we’ll spend two weeks (in the transfer window). We know that the (release) clause in EB is gone, so it’s a club decision and we’ll see what happens.”
Glasner claimed that they would continue to play despite speculation by both Eze and defender Mark Guech, linked with the move to Liverpool.
“EBS and Mark, there was a lot of noise about these two players last week. Everyone could see the performance against Liverpool and today they were 100% lined up at Crystal Palace with this team,” he told the BBC Match that day.
“As long as they’re 100% committed, they play because they’re so good. I watched them all week in training, and I talked with them almost every day.
“They didn’t just show that they were great footballers, but they were great people, and that’s what I expected.”
