Jadon Sancho is still waiting for the club to give him a route out of exile at Manchester United, and the winger has discovered one side very enthusiastic about signing him
Jadon Sancho was hit by messages from Besiktas fans on social media after the Turkish side emerged as a way out of Manchester United’s rejection.
Sancho was exiled at United. There, Reuben Amorim places him and other unwanted players in what is called “bomb squads.” He, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, were told to follow in the footsteps of Marcus Rashford by finding a new club.
The 25-year-old winger is linked to moves towards Juventus, Fenerbafs and Borussia Dortmund, but it hasn’t happened yet. His £300,000 per week wage at United, where he is on a contract until June 2026, has proven to be problematic in the market.
However, speculation has risen once again with news that both Rome and Besictas are actively pursuing a deal with Sancho. New Roman boss Jean Piero Gaspelini is eager to sign him, and former United manager Ole Gunnar Solskar hopes to meet him again in Istanbul.

Some of the Besictus are not the case with Rome. An army of online supporters is out to persuade Sancho to move to Türkiye. His latest Instagram post shows his photos of him relaxing on the holidays have earned over 5 million comments.
And club President Seldar Adari is willing to chase the hopes of his fans. “I want him as much as the community wants him,” he told Torkier today. “It’s not just our desires that matter, but if the player wants to come to Turkey, we have a budget and we will do our best to get him here.
“Players like Jadon Sancho usually prefer clubs that play in the Champions League. Whether it’s happening today or not, it’s hard to say. If possible, we’ll get him. Besiktas fans can feel at ease.”
Sancho spent last season on loans with Chelsea, but the club declined the opportunity to sign him forever. He then agreed to personal terms with Fenerbafs and Juventus. Just because these deals break down, former United striker Teddy Shellingham is worried that his career will be on the downslide.
“Jadon Sancho definitely won’t play for a big club again. He’ll probably tell you he can do it,” Sheringham told Snabbare. “You can see that he burned the bridge with his manager, and he wasn’t even in the changing room.
“If he was given another opportunity, he could work for what Amorim wanted, but I know from experience when you were unhappy and hoping it would be very difficult to turn it around with your manager, supporters and other players.
“You have to show an incredible mental desire to turn it around. You can, and I know he is a talented young man, but if that’s true now, I’m very surprised.”
