Manchester United head coach Reuben Amorim confirmed that Benjamin Sesco is ready to feature Arsenal in Sunday’s Premier League opener. However, Amorim passed two more players, but another duo was removed from Old Trafford’s appetizing curtain lazer.
United embarked on another Premier League campaign this weekend, licking the wounds of the tragic 2024/25 season. The Red Devils will host Arsenal in a highly upgraded attack after the arrival of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko for a total fee of over £200 million.
And Amorim suggests that the latter, which recently joined from RB Leipzig in a £74 million deal, is ready to start against the gunners.
“We have a lot of time, but he’s ready. First of all, he’s physically ready,” explained Amorim in Carrington’s shining new press room.
“It’s a big part of our league, he’s really smart, every detail he asks, he’s always thinking, he’s working on his fitness. He’s ready to play. We’ll see if he’ll start.”
The United boss added:

“He’s always thinking about football. Every game is either playing or dying. You don’t have to think about one man and that aspect.
“I don’t need to tell Ben, with that guy, I don’t have that concern, I’m against, I’m having a bit of fun.”
Amorim has confirmed that Andre Onana and Joshua Zirkzee are available after both players miss the entire preseason fixture calendar through injuries.
However, defensive duo Lisandro Martinez and Nucea Mazrawi have not recovered in time for the launch of a new campaign.

“Nous and Licha are out. They can’t play this game, Josh Recover, Andre Recover, they’re the choice of this game, we’ll see,” Amorim said.
Arsenal will visit Old Trafford in near-clean health as Mikel Arteta’s side prepares for another Premier League title challenge.
Gabriel Jesus is unavailable as he continues to recover from a knee injury he suffered in January.
Leandro Trossard is also suspected after picking up gro caliber tension during a preseason 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur.
