On Wednesday, the official Indian Premier League accounts continued their countdown ahead of the new season. Over the course of two days, they used an image of Arsenal’s No. 2 William Saliba, captioning “The wait is almost over.”
Doesn’t it make sense, right? It caused supporters of other clubs to jump to the post and mercilessly began laughing at Arsenal. “The day I go” was “Arsenal Day.” “India understands the allocation,” another joked.
“Increase admin pay!!!” The third pleaded while another person wrote in the reply.

However, gunner fans fought back. “Over 18 other teams,” one supporter pointed out. “But I’m still kidding it. It makes sense. When you’re big, you’re big.”
The Premier League main account represented the two days using photos of Anthony Elanga, a £55 million signature from Newcastle.
Arteta hopes that no one will laugh at Arsenal next year. The Gunners boss was backed by a new signature worth £195 million, and ahead of the opening game to Manchester United on Sunday, he repeated his ambitions for a new season.

“All of these new arrivals add quality and depth to the team, which is something we need throughout the upcoming season,” Arteta wrote in his program notes ahead of last week’s preseason friendliness. We know what our goal is and what we want to achieve this season – there is a great belief in our ability to achieve that.
“We are going to decide if the whole team will achieve that, very close to the past few seasons, but at the same time, we need to make sure we don’t lose sight of what we have to do every day to get to the level we want.
“We need to set the demands we want within this goal, because that’s the most important thing. Internal demands must always exceed external demands, which is what we are trying to achieve every day.”
