Liverpool has bid £110 million on Newcastle star Alexander Isaac, allowing him to return to striker before the end of the window – Jamie Carrager has ruled his ruling on the possibility of arriving
Jamie Carrager insisted that even if Liverpool signed Alexander Isaac, he would not “run away” in the title race. But Reds legend believes Florian Wiltz already looks like a “special player” who can replace Kevin de Bruin as the biggest star in the Premier League.
Arne Slot won the title with 10 points in his first season, with the Anfield club subsequently spent £295 million on strengthening the team. Liverpool has also bid £110 million on Swedish striker Isak, allowing him to return to the Newcastle star before the end of the window.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United all spent big this summer, but Carragher believes German playmaker Wirtz’s £116 million deal could be the best business.
“Even in preseason, he just looks like a class,” the former England defender said. “He looks like a special footballer. I also got a glimpse into the Community Shield. He’s already linked to Sarah and he’s a good offensive player.
“He’s a Liverpool player, but when someone comes to the Premier League, it feels like a star has come to the Premier League, and I think it’s going to be a great addition. I think you’ll lose one of the best players we’ve ever had in the league.
Gary Neville added: “I am intrigued by the players signed by top clubs.
“At this point, any of them are considered the best in the world, but which of them can become those players? And I think that’s what’s interesting about this season.
The former Manchester United favourite is hoping to see a closer title race this season.
“Last year, Liverpool got it really comfortable and had a great transfer window,” Neville said. “And if they get Isaac, who appears to be upset for the movement, it will be a massive favorite for them.
