Tottenham tried to steal a march at Arsenal in the race to sign Crystal Palace star Ebeki Eze – and they have one factor in their favor in the summer transfer window
Tottenham has launched an attempt to defeat Arsenal on the signature of Crystal Palace star Ebeki Eze.
After the sports arbitration court upheld the UEFA ruling, the confirmation that Palace will not play in the Europa League this season has made the club vulnerable to the star player approach. Midfielder Eze and captain Mark Guehee appear likely to leave for the summer transfer period.
Liverpool has begun discussions on Guehi’s signature, and Eze is the subject of interest to rivals Spurs and Arsenal in North London. Guehi’s current contract expires next summer, and Eze has a release clause in his deal.
Eze has a £68 million release clause written on its contract with the Eagles, which is due to expire Friday. Arsenal has been courting him all summer, but after spending more than £200 million on new players, they will have to sell the player before bidding on Eze.

It challenged the money-available Tottenham hands and is now beginning a meeting with the palace. The Spurs missed signing Morgan Gibbs White. He signed a new contract with Nottingham Forest after his approach, causing James Madison to suffer a knee injury.

One thing is for sure, as the palace faces their economic reality and there is a shortage of Europa League football, it costs an estimated £20 million. They know that now may be the best time to cash out Eze. You will also be able to find a replacement before the windows close on September 1st.
