Liverpool defender Ibrahima konate pushes to land at new centre Harves in the final year of his contract with the Reds to make a decision to the Frenchman
Liverpool has no plans to sell Ibrahi Maconate, even if they manage to bring in two new central defenders.
The French enters the final 12 months of their contract and nothing will leave next summer. The Reds have just seen Trent Alexander Arnold run through his deal and decide to avoid repeating it.
Conate is an interesting Real Madrid given his contract status, and his peak year is ahead of him. Liverpool were able to see cash this summer – as the palace believes they have almost an alternative when it comes to Gehi – that’s not Anfield’s plan. Arne Slot has a summer interest in Guehi, who just captained the Eagles in the FA Cup and Community Shield success.
They are also working on a contract with Giovanni Leoni of Palma. They are considered a future project if they can beat Inter Milan with his signature. However, Konate remains integral to their plans, and new arrivals do not offset potential departures.
Slot was quized into his resources at the heart of the defense after seeing Bayer Lebakusen and Joe Gomez leave to raise more injuries concerns.

The Dutch believe they have enough coverage, but there is no doubt that the club will act if the deal is available. His contract status means that the palace cannot demand huge fees and their Chairman Steve Parish admits that they may have to win cash.
He states: “It’s a shame that caliber players are left to be left for free, and we need to see what happens. But we need a new contract or some kind of conclusion.”
Konate has rejected the offer of Liverpool’s first extension, but more negotiations are expected. His contract talks were delayed last year as the club boss focused on maintaining Virgil van Dik and Mohamed Sarah.
The previous RB Leipzig defender was understood to be disappointed with the structure of Liverpool’s offer, and his representatives were thought to be promoting a higher basic wage after the offer was primarily based on meeting performance targets.
