Ibrahima Conate has signed a lucrative new sponsorship agreement as it is linked to travel from Liverpool. The towering defender is just entering the final year of his contract and has yet to sign any new terms. That led to speculation that he could leave Anfield with a free transfer at the end of the season.
Real Madrid is said to be interested in bringing Conate to the Spanish capital in the near future. It comes just a few months after they attacked Liverpool for the service of Trent Alexander Arnold. When his contract expires a year later, only time can tell if there are repeated scenarios with Konate.
In the meantime, Konate boosted his bank balance by signing a lucrative sponsorship agreement with Under Armour. On the new contract, you will see him wearing football boots offered by the American sportswear giants.
Commenting on the deal, Connecte said: “I am proud to represent Under Armour, a brand with a history of deep roots in performance and innovation that shares the same drive, mentality and values as me.
“I’m a huge fan of Edge that they bring to football and look forward to taking my career to the next level on and off the pitch.”

It remains to be seen whether Konate’s new sponsorship agreement is a sign of the future. Alexander Arnold signed with Under Armour before switching to Adidas before moving to Real Madrid earlier this year.
It was reported last month that Real Madrid contacted Liverpool to express their interest in signing Conate. It is also said that the Anfield Chiefs are open to the idea of selling defenders rather than losing anything in a year.
It is claimed to be sufficient to seduce the Premier League champions into business. However, given Conate’s contract situation, they are not in the most powerful position to negotiate.
Earlier this year, he admitted that he had already turned down the proposal from the Reds, saying, “You know, I just want to say one thing. Everything I saw on social media is completely fake. I didn’t ask for anything from the club.
“They made an offer to me, and I answered them with something, that’s it. I want to wait until the end (speculation), the rest (speculation), I want this… it’s completely fake. And in November I said I was very close to signing the deal.
“I was like this: ‘Oh, do they have more information than me?’ That was not true at the moment, so that’s why I was a little mad.
“I thought people didn’t want to sign a contract and they didn’t approach signing it. I don’t know what’s going to happen.”
