Rodolguy is strongly linked to his move to the Premier League after appearing to be frozen by Xabi Alonso in Real Madrid, but the Brazilian believes he can still succeed at the Bernabeu
Real Madrid star Rodrigo reportedly decided to stay and compete for his position at the Bernabeu this season despite strong interest from Premier League clubs Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham.
The Brazilian appeared to destiny the door to the Spanish capital after it seemed to have taken down Pecking orders under boss Xabi Alonso this summer and put him on the bench for his team’s Club World Cup semi-final defeat to PSG.
When asked why he made that decision, Alonso said the game needed “different players” but he said he hadn’t made a final call about Winger’s future yet.
Rodrigo’s path to first team football certainly looks challenging. Killian Mbappe and Vinicius are the first choices, but young people like Endric and Gonzalo Garcia also promote the place.
However, according to the Spanish outlet, Rodrigo is currently “banking” with Madrid and believes it has enough quality to add to Alonso’s existing options.

Arsenal signed the winger looking like a front runner, but has since snapped Noni Madueke, so the road to the Emirates is blocked.
Liverpool spent a lot of cash this summer – their summer expenses totaling nearly £300 million – so it’s unlikely they’ll have the cash to bring in Rodrigo, as they focus on the £150 million Alexander Isaac move.
And it doesn’t seem to appear that there’s room for him, as Tottenham has already signed Mohamed Kudus with Brennan Johnson and wings.
The report claims from elsewhere that there are “no signs of movement” and “no significant offers”, claiming that Rodrigo will remain in place for now.
Rodrigo says he is confident that he can convince Alonso to fit his system in the Bernabeu and gain the trust of his manager.
It also claims that Madrid never pushed him against the exit door and only considered the transfer if he received an offer of over £78 million.
Rodrigo has become a popular figure in Madrid since moving £40 million as a teenager in 2018, playing 270 times for the club, winning 68 times and 13 trophies.
