Marc Guech’s future at Crystal Palace remains uncertain towards the final knock of the summer transfer window, with both Liverpool and Newcastle in the race
Mark Guech will support the move to Liverpool if it is sold by Crystal Palace, but they have not yet received a bid. Guehi, 25, is in the final year of his contract with the palace, which has attached a £40 million price tag to the defender.
Miller Football reported last month that Liverpool was in the pole position for Guech, but their focus is on the opportunity to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isaac. The Premier League champion has already spent nearly £300 million this summer and will have to pay ISAK at least £125 million.
The UK-Record deal could change Guehi’s future dynamics. The Guardian reports that Newcastle could revive their interest after finally admitting to a loss after raising four bids to £70 million last summer.
England International is pleased with the palace and adds that he is pleased to see the last 12 months of his contract before joining the club on a free transfer after the World Cup. Centre back Ibrahi Maconate also sees his deal expire in June 2026 amid a link to travel to Real Madrid, so it could play in Liverpool’s hands.
Newcastle is not just the club that previously submitted Guehi bids. In January, Tottenham offered £70 million to the palace, but suffered rejection as the former Chelsea prospects earned the FA Cup glory to the Eagles captain.

Sport Lisbon Star’s Osmanedio Mande and Inter Milan’s Jan Aurel Bisek are both tied to the move to Selhurst Park as a potential alternative to Gahee. But if it’s up to Oliver Glasner, he’ll keep his skipper for at least another season in the overwhelming summer transfer window.
In a recent interview with Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung, the palace manager lamented the lack of activity in the market, spending only £2 million on the left back and signing the backup goalkeeper for free. “We haven’t made the most of the transfer window so far, despite all the players still here,” admitted Glasner.

“We were promised to be more active earlier this year and bring in new players. For now, we have 17 outfield players and we hope we don’t lose any more.
