Marcus Rashford criticised Mika Richards for “selfish” remarks | Football | Sports

Marcus Rashford is said to become more ruthless in front of the goal as he begins a new chapter for Barcelona. It was Mika Richards’ verdict, and he delivered an honest amount of integrity to the Manchester United winger in an honest exchange of potential flaws in his approach.

United Exford, 27, signed La Liga reality champion on an in-season contract, following his spell at Aston Villa late last season. The British have already descended the mark under Hansifrik, finding the net and offering assists on Barcelona’s latest two preseason excursions. When Old Trafford was welcomed with the brightest prospects, Rashford realized that he himself had been loaned out after scoring his goals in Manchester. And Richards highlighted in the remaining in-person interviews on the football podcast that he believes is a clear weakness in the forward’s approach.

“One of my criticisms about your game is that you feel you can be more selfish,” said the former Manchester City defender. “You’re in a great region, so you always want to pass! All other players at the top of the world’s soccer are filming.”

Rashford seemed to accept feedback, but was countered by showing that his focus would not only hit the back of the net but extend. The 62-cap England International scored an individual-high 30 goals throughout the 2022/23 season, affecting displays on the pitch, under Eric 10 hugs, where his relationship with United boss Ruven Amorim appears to be sour.

“Don’t get me wrong, I love getting points, but this is why I can’t be number 9 consistently,” Rashford replied. “It’s not natural to me to do that, so if I’m doing it, I feel like I’m forcing it and I know I’m missing other photos from the game.

“If you’re just playing freely, you’re going to see these photos, so there are many times when you don’t shoot because it’s possible that I’m blocked and you might miss the chance for the team as well as me.

“But my striker said, ‘If I can get through his foot here (lol), there’s a good chance that’s going in!”

Such statements can raise concern among certain unified supporters, especially those who recognize goalscoring capabilities within players. Rashford has made progress on the club’s youth system as a striker and made a reputation for his successful finish when he first appeared on the stage of the team in 2016.

Starr showed his commitment to the team when he was widely deployed to accommodate others passing through the center. Despite maintaining his ability to operate as a traditional central striker, his style evolved accordingly.

That natural instinct was evident when he netted his maiden Barcelona goal during a friendly match against the recent friendly Daegu against the Korean outfit. The attackers completed the 5-0 victory by unleashing a fierce strike from inside the box beyond the keeper after a layoff from former Man City defender Eric Garcia.

He then secured Barca’s first assist with Joan Gun Part Loffy, contributing to another impressive 5-0 victory over Italian Como. However, Rashford was left with redface after missing a clear chance at the back post, so the match wasn’t without low points.
