Tottenham manager Thomas Frank revealed that Yves Bizuma has not traveled to Italy ahead of the UEFA Super Cup final with Paris Saint-Germain. Instead, the midfielder was omitted from his team for “disciplinary reasons.”
The Spurs face the top task of facing Champions League winner PSG on Wednesday night, and if Frank keeps the fatal League 1 outfit at Blue Elsey Stadium, his team needs to be the best.
However, Frank makes it clear that they will not have Bisma due to the conflict as he remains in England. The former Brentford boss felt that after a series of late arrivals there was no choice but to lift the midfielder.
Initially asked about people who could face PSG, Frank replied:
He was then asked for details on why the decision was made to leave the previous Brighton playmaker from his team. Frank explained:
“Everything needed to give players a lot of love, they needed demands and results, and this time there were results.”
Bissouma has linked to travelling from Spurs multiple times this summer, and his disciplinary concerns could bring him closer to the exit. The 28-year-old is linked to a reunion with West Ham’s Graham Potter, but other clubs around Europe are closely monitoring his situation.
If Bissouma departs, the funds raised could be directed towards signature attacks. The Spurs are said to be meeting with Manchester City about their contract with Savigno and Crystal Palace, Ebeki Eze’s local London rival.
Asked about these talks, Frank said, “I think there are a lot of good players on the PSG team, but we can’t have all of them. The players are going to talk about the players.”
