He is the latest advocate leaving Vitality Stadium after Milos Karques travels to Liverpool and Dean Huizen to Real Madrid at the beginning of the summer.
Ukraine International joined Dynamo Kiev’s Cherry in 2023 and played for the club 86 times in a two-and-a-half year stay.
“I’m very pleased to be part of Paris Saint-Germain, the best club in the world,” Zabarni told the club’s website. “I’m here to offer everything I have on the pitch and look forward to debuting and meeting supporters.”
Zabarnyi is part of Bournemouth’s all-time best finish on top flights, with Andoni Iraola’s side finishing ninth in the Premier League last season.
They had been sitting fifth in February threatening to qualify for Europe, but their form slowed down, and the continental football push disappeared.
Zabarnyi scored one goal during his time at Bournemouth and scored the net in a lively 4-3 comeback with Luton last March, with Cherry chasing 3-0 on a break.
Speaking about the move, PSG President Nasser al-Keraifi said:
“Ilia is a talented international player and a great expert. He makes a great contribution to everything he’s building in the long run at Paris Saint-Germain.”
Zabarnyi, who played 48 times at the Ukrainian international level, will wear the No. 6 shirt in PSG.
He joined PSG a few months after the club won the Champions League for the first time in history, dismantling 5-0 in the final. Last season, the French Giants also won the League One and the Coupe de France.
