Fantasy Premier League fans remained scratched their heads on Thursday evening, when the website’s server crashed. The popular game has been played by millions of fans around the world and is expected to progress when the Premier League returns this week.
A fan trying to access the website or mobile app said, “I’m sorry, but there was an unexpected error processing the request. Please return to the homepage and try again or contact us for more help.” It was first reported in the evening and was not accessible at night.
Fans were warned of this issue while trying to renew their team ahead of the new season. Posting on X, @Fplrichy said: “Trouble at FPL Tower. It looks like the Fantasy Premier League server is down. Many people can’t access FPL on apps and websites!”
@FPLBateman added: “The FPL site is still down, and there are only 20 hours and 34 minutes for two days until Golden Week 1 deadline. I captained James Madison’s captain.
It is going to be a big year for the game given that some changes have been introduced into the point scoring format. The defensive contributions were refreshed, and the defenders were awarded points for a total of 10 clearances, blocks, intercepts, and reaching tackles per match.
In the case of midfielders and forwards, they are also awarded for the recovery of the ball as well as the points of contribution mentioned above. Meanwhile, players are given two sets of chips that can be used during the season, allowing them to use wildcards, free hits, triple captains and bench boosts twice.
The manager will get his first chance to score points on Friday when Liverpool launched the campaign at Anfield against Bournemouth. After a lot of summer spending, including big money deals for Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and Ex-Cerries Ace Milos Kerkez, many players have included Liverpool stars in their teams.
We will also turn our eyes to Old Trafford later in the weekend. Considering that two of the most selected players of the season are playing against each other. Manchester United welcomed Benjamin Sesco to the club, and Sunday’s opponent Arsenal spent a big time with Victor Gyoker.
