Tottenham confirmed that James Madison would rupture his ACL and be forced to undergo surgery. The attacking midfielder was extended after being injured in a friendly 1-1 draw with Seoul’s Newcastle on Sunday.

Scan confirmed that it’s now finished as the 28-year-old season is ready to go under the knife and begin the long road to recovery. Madison missed out on May’s Europa League final victory over Manchester United with another knee issue after straining the MCL.

The Spurs had already been focusing on Thomas Frank’s new No. 10, but their quest for augmented attacks has been intensified. Last month, Tottenham reported that it was ready to cause a confidential £60 million worth of Morgan Gibbs White’s Nottingham Forest deal.

However, the transfer collapsed after Forest declared it was considering legal action against the Spurs and England International declared it was writing new terms.

Dejan Kulusevski is expected to miss the first month of the new season after undergoing patella surgery in May. Leicester City’s Villal Elkannars, who won a 2-1 victory with the Spurs in January, is one of the list of alternative names being monitored. Aston Villa, Sunderland and Leeds also contacted a 21-year-old Moroccan.

Meanwhile, Harvey Elliott is also being tracked, but he is valued at an estimated £45 million by Liverpool after being selected as a tournament player for U21 euros as England defended the trophy in Slovakia.

Elliott is currently the subject of a talk with RB Leipzig and is considered the top target to replace Zabi Simons, tied to Chelsea. Liverpool is also understood to be interested in including a buyback clause.

Jacob Ramsey, a villa, previously attracted worshipers in Tottenham, appears to be no active target at this time. Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche was scouted, but was featured primarily as a proper winger last season.

Crystal Palace’s interest in Ebekieze was cooled earlier this summer, but it remains to be seen whether it has rekindled. So far, there is no real link to Real Madrid’s Rodrigo either.

With a network of contacts throughout Europe, Fabio Parachti continues to work for Spurs on a consultant basis, so he is poised to be involved in recruitment debates.

Brentford’s Joane Wissa is an interested player and he wants to leave West London, but the bees are determined to play hardball for a fee after rejecting two bids from Newcastle.

Tottenham considered signing Wissa in January, but it was said that it was impossible, they are paying attention to his situation, but are aware that his highest position is operating as a centre forward.

Also, Luka Vuskovic has an openness to employ a new senior centre back that will be sent on loan. As reported by Miller Football in mid-June, Hamburg has been interested in Croatians and is now in its first consultation on a potential deal.

Jan Paul Vanhecke of Brighton and Illazabariny of Bournemouth are highly praised for the nominations of PSG, but both have a premium fee.

Tottenham is reluctant to place a time slot for Madison’s return, and has finalized Portsmouth to switch loans for young Wingeryan Min Hyuk.

Fellow attacker Brian Gill has also been offered to many Italian and Spanish clubs via intermediaries, including Bologna, with the Spurs trying to drive permanent sales following the recent loan spell in Guilrona.
