Tottenham chief Daniel Levy feels that Manchester City’s financial fee survey is “too long.”
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy believes the investigation into Manchester City’s alleged financial breach was dragged down as “too long.” In February 2023, the Premier League broke 115 financial fair play rules over nine years between 2009 and 2017.
More than two years later, the verdict has not yet been achieved. It has recently been revealed that it could be October before we know any outcomes that could undermine the Premier League or City’s period of domination.
Their Premier League rivals have been largely silent since the charges were filed, but Levi has joined the small list of seniors and spoke publicly about the city’s case. Since they were indicted, Pep Guardiola’s part has denied any misconduct and claimed that they have a “comprehensive body of evidence that cannot be rebutted” to support their stance.
In an interview with Gary Neville for the overlap, the Spurs chief gave his idea. “I think it’s really unfair to talk about another club in the Premier League. What I say is that you’re going through a process that I think is going on too long,” Levy insisted.
“We need to come to some form of conclusion for the benefit of the game,” he continued: “It’s a shame we couldn’t solve things internally, not by the request of a lawyer who’s making a lot of money from now on.”

The city’s battle with the Premier League rang behind the scenes for 30 months. In February this year, Guardiola said he was hoping for an announcement in the coming weeks, but that never came.
Speaking in September last year, the city boss declared: “I’m sorry to say I always want to protect my club – especially in this modern age.
Guardiola also said, “We’d say we had more good days than our opponents. That’s why we win a lot. That’s not complicated.”

Star striker Erling Haaland “believes” that last season the city proved innocent and signed a new nine and a half year contract. “I talked to my boss and I believe them in them in the end,” Haaland told Time Magazine.
“It’s a very difficult situation to sit there and even talk because I wasn’t really involved in it, so I think the club knows what they’re doing.
