Premier League and UEFA Club competitions are back
The FA Community Shield and UEFA Europe Super Cup began their football season at TNT Sports before the first match of the 52 Premier League this Saturday, with Aston Villa entertaining Newcastle United at Villa Park, and Tottenham Hotspur visited Etihad Stadium and playing Manchester City the following week.
As the Premier League announced earlier this month as a whole new rights cycle as part of the Extended Matchday Access Initiative, TNT Sports will work closely with member clubs throughout the season to help bring fans closer to their teams. Dressing room cameras (built based on those employed by TNT Sports on several match-day broadcasts over the past two seasons), half-time interviews with players and managers, and in-game interviews will be a staple of live football coverage from this season.
Meanwhile, one of the UEFA Champions League, one of UEFA Premier Club competitions, will begin in the week of September 16th with 36 embarking on the road to Budapest, starting one week in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League. TNT Sports will show a total of 529 European matches on channels and platforms during the season.
