The footage I’ve never seen before Diogo Jota says that winning the Premier League title “The Moment He Celebrates Forever” will be featured in a brand new Liverpool documentary. The footage shown on Liverpool’s All Red Video will be recorded just before Winger’s death at the age of 28 in July and will be released on Tuesday at 9am BST.
The Portuguese icon tragically passed away along with his younger brother Andre Silva after a car crashed in the province of Zamora, Spain, early on July 3rd. Since then, tributes have appeared all over the world, not only from Liverpool supporters around the world, but also from soccer fans around the world. Jota and his brother were once again remembered as Crystal Palace in Wembley in Sunday’s Community Shield clash.
And now Liverpool is confirming that they are releasing an in-house documentary looking back at the campaign where Jota played a major role in the Premier League championship last season. The clip, which uploads to Instagram and announces the release of the video, features several players taking iconic photos of the team celebrating the title.
Jota appeared in the clip, “It’s an incredible achievement to reach this particular season with a title I’ve been chasing for years. It’s a moment I cherish forever. It was a great thing.”
The trailer also shows some of Liverpool’s most important moments to win their first Premier League title under new boss Arne Slot in the club’s Maiden season, as well as an incredible celebration at Anfield after the title is safe.
Goalkeeper Alison Becker can be heard talking about the clips that players and staff can be seen in joy as they celebrate the league title. He said: “I think this picture shows a lot about how we evaluate everyone in this club.”
Jota then appeared on screen for the first time and quized about some of the most important moments of the season. The forward arrived at Anfield in 2020, the summer when Liverpool first won their Premier League title under Klopp.
He had to wait another five years before Liverpool lifts the trophy again.
The trailer also includes Dominique Skoboschlei. He said of the title-winning campaign:
Liverpool is scheduled to play their first Premier League game on the homeline without Jota on Friday. Liverpool also retired from the number 20 shirt as a tribute.
Club captain Virgil van Dik was furious at several reactions from palace supporters in a homage to Jota before kicking off on Sunday’s Community Shield. The silence before the match has been shortened.
Speaking about the incident, Van Deek said: “Yes, I’m disappointed. That’s the only thing I can say. I don’t know who did it, but there were a lot of people trying to take it away, but obviously they don’t help it.
“But what is that? Can’t you control the number of fans here today? Was it 80,000? So it’s a shame to hear that.
