Manchester United have reached an agreement to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco under Newcastle’s nose.
Benjamin Sesco landed in the UK ahead of his £74 million move to Manchester United. The RB Leipzig striker only saw his move to Old Trafford on Thursday afternoon, but did not waste his time traveling around Europe.
Sesko signed a five-year deal with Red Devils, intuitively snuggling more profitable offers from Premier League rival Newcastle. Eddie Howe’s side launched a bidding war earlier this week, with a second offer worth £710 million being accepted.
However, it felt like the Slovenians were waiting for an offer from Manchester, which began on Wednesday. With the deal, Leipziglikke is friendly with the £66.4 million add-on, 20-time England champions.
The Bundesliga finally accepted the proposal and forced the players to choose his preferred destination. Despite reports that Newcastle provided him with a large salary, it proved to be with Reuben Amorim.
Sesco left East Germany’s Leipzig around 5:30pm on Thursday, with over 10,000 enthusiastic supporters tracking their progress.

With the player landing in Manchester, he is expected to complete medical care on Friday and sign the contract. He will then be officially presented to fans on Saturday when his new teammate faces Fiorentina in a match before the final season.
He joins Mash Kuña and Brian Mbemo, who have signed contracts from Wolves and Brentford, respectively, to join the attack on Manchester United, with a new look of over £200 million. Amorim attacked his top priorities this summer after a gloomy season in which he finished 15th and scored just 44 league goals in the process.
Amorim’s attention can be directed towards Brighton’s Carlos Valleva towards the new midfielder at the top of his wish list. The 21-year-old is the latest Seagull star who has been turned over for the huge following sales of players like Moises Caiceco, Alexis Mac Allister and Joao Pedro.
Baleba has been in business with Amex for three years, and Brighton is reluctant to sell at this point. Nonetheless, contact was made through a desperate intermediary, in order to add extra dynamism to the middle of the park.
Sesko’s arrival could indicate that Rasmus Hojlund left the club just two years after his big hit work. Hojlund, 22, arrived at many fanfares in the summer of 2023, signing from Atalanta in his first deal worth £64 million.
However, he has struggled ever since arriving in the Premier League and now appears to be destined to move before the end of the window. United are said to be willing to become a huge hit with forwards, which can be used for around £40 million.
Marcus Rashford has already set out between the windows after falling from favor under Amorim. Alejandro Garnacho has also made an exit, with Chelsea in discussions to sign Argentina.
Signed in 2022 for £805 million, Antony is another famous summer signature with no future under the Red Devils boss. He spent the second half of last season in Spain with the real Betis, but has yet to secure a permanent exit.
