Liverpool is linked to the movement of Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola.
Liverpool has agreed to a deal to sell Darwin Nunes to Al Hilal – and now they will focus on landing alternatives. The Reds have Newcastle striker Alexander Isaac as their best target, but they won’t buy a replacement if they can’t get their guy.
They only switch targets if they believe that another person who meets their standards can buy in this window. Nunes, 26, is flying out to Germany on Thursday to complete his medicine at the Saudi Arabian club currently in Europe for pre-season preparations.
Al-Hilal will pay £46 million in advance with a bonus that costs more than £50 million. Liverpool paid Benfica £605 million in 2022 to £85 million. The Reds have already brought their Hugo Ekitique from Aintro Hat Frankfurt this summer, with deals worth up to £799 million.
But they are currently selling Nunes alongside Luis Diaz, but Diogo Jota was tragically killed in a car accident and is considering further strengthening the attack. That’s why they are pursuing Isaac.
They are just in the market for moving forward, not backing up. But they pay only what they believe is fair market value and chase after those who believe they can land before the windows close.

Liverpool has shown in the past that unless they get No. 1, they won’t pivot to other targets unless they believe they meet their standards. That’s the feeling here and they don’t believe they need to land strikers, but there are things they want to do.
An example would be to not sign another centre-back when Martin Zubimendi refused them to turn them down and stay in Real Sociedad, when Virgil van Dick had to slow him down. 22-year-old PSG forward Bradley Berkora has linked the club as an alternative to Isaac, taking into account the idea that Ekitique will become central.
However, the forward is preferred by Liverpool and many clubs, but at this stage there is no planned move for him. PSG prevents him from achieving it as it is unlikely to consider allowing him to leave. Liverpool also feels that the attacker on the left of Barcola’s age would block the path of talented teenager Rio Nu spiders.

Nunes left the club where he spent three years at Anfield, a signature pushed by Jurgen Klopp after the Uruguayan was impressed in a Champions League match against the Reds. However, he was unable to show enough clinical finish to become a regular starter for the Reds. Nunes wanted to leave in January when he was interested in Saudi Arabia, such as Al Nassul.
Liverpool stood firm and wanted him to stay as he chased the glory of the Premier League and Champions League. Napoli failed the bid early in the window as Nunes asked to leave again, but now Al-Hilal has reached the terms with Liverpool and the player wins £400,000 a week in the Saudi Arabia.
Liverpool failed ISAK’s £110 million bid last week, waiting for encouragement before its second offer. Newcastle isn’t an interesting bid until it finds an alternative to ISAK, but it appears that they’ll miss the latest target as RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco is in talks with Manchester United.
Isaac, 25, is recovering from a thigh injury that left Newcastle’s first team after Eddie Howe became angry at the player’s actions when he went to workout at former club Real Sociedad while the Magpie was in the Far East while on tour.
