Darwin Nunes wins the king’s ransom in Saudi Arabia, but his wages are still warped by Erling Haaland, the top winner of the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Liverpool forward Nunes is on the verge of joining Al Hilal for his first £46 million, with a potential add-on of around £10 million. His departure will likely increase the Reds’ revenue from sales this summer to almost £200 million, and will likely follow.

Also, the front space has been opened up already strengthened with the £300 million expenditure and the arrival of Hugo Ekitike as part of Shirt No. 9. Liverpool was interested in Alexander Isaac last week despite a £110 million bid being rejected. To coincide with the money-packed Saudi professional league, Nunez will raise a huge salary of £20 million a year. But it still leaves him quite a bit behind in Haaland in Manchester City. Haaland of Manchester City has somehow surpassed the Premier League money list with his weekly revenue of around £27.3 million per year, his annual salary worth around £525,000.

The 25-year-old Norwegian goal car wrote a massive long-term contract earlier this year, staying in Etihad until the summer of 2034, by which time he was in his mid-30s.

Next on the list is Nunez’s upcoming Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, who is on the verge of £20.3 million, with Manchester United’s Carlos Casimiro and another Liverpool player Virgil Van Dijk, who is on the verge of £18.2 million.

Nunez scored 40 goals in 143 appearances for the Reds, but his inconsistency often makes fans irritated. After Ekitike’s signature and the potential arrival of Isak, Nunez’s first team opportunity would have been increasingly limited if he was staying at Anfield.

He follows Louis Diaz from the club following a £65 million move to Bayern Munich. The Colombians have been hoping for a move ever since the Club Chiefs decided not to offer him a new contract and refused to enter negotiations. Liverpool reluctantly accepted that his departure was inevitable and sold out.

In a farewell post to Liverpool fans on Instagram, Diaz thought it was “the perfect farewell” if it wasn’t due to the tragic death of his teammate Diogo Jota in a car accident in Spain last month.

He wrote:

“Like I said, again, I take everyone in my mind, but especially one of them: Diogo. I will never forget him. We will never forget him.
