Manchester United are on the verge of sealing off Benjamin Sesco’s contract, and the next task is for the Slovenian international striker to choose a shirt number
Benjamin Sesco moved to Manchester United and was able to return to his first team number. But it would require Reuben Amorim to take the number from Antony in the hopes of the winger leaving.
Amorim has already made that move once this summer. Matheus Cunha inherited Marcus Rashford’s No. 10 shirt, and while England International was still a United player, Rashford later joined Barcelona on loan.
Sesko wore 30 for RB Leipzig last season, but that number already belongs to United’s new boy, Diego Leon. When Sesko arrived at Old Trafford, and now he doesn’t seem to have to choose an alternative, it looks like he is now.
The No. 11 he wore in Slovenia in Euro 2024 is also occupied, and Joshu Azirky won’t go anywhere. However, the number he was wearing as a liar teenager could be expected to be expected Antony to leave the club.
Sesko has 21 league goals in the 2020-21 season, carrying 21 seasons. He is his best singleseason return in the league, but he won the net 21 times in all Leipzig tournaments in the previous period.

The United move in Sesko would bring them back to £74 million after reaching an agreement with Leipzig. He is scheduled for medical care on Friday after choosing Reuben Amorim over Newcastle’s rival, and should be available for the Premier League opening match against Arsenal on Sunday’s week.
However, Amorim’s team may not take place there. Gianluigi donnarumma continues to link with the Old Trafford Switch, and reports on the continent suggest that Lucas Chevalier, the man who replaced him at Paris Saint-Germain.
As for the exit, Antony isn’t just one to leave. Amid the question of whether Ra Liga’s side can meet United’s asking price, Real Betis relies on Brazilians, but is also of interest from other places.
Alejandro Garnacho and Jadon Sancho are also expected to leave Old Trafford. Juventus led Sancho’s pursuits for much of the summer, but Garnacho is the subject of renewed interest from Chelsea.
United hopes for £50 million for Argentine star Garnacho, who finished with the club last season despite January interest from both Chelsea and Napoli. Enzo Maresca’s blues are also pursuing Leipzig’s Zabi Simons move, and if they land both targets, they may need to complete their own sales.
