Newcastle star Alexander Isaac is at the heart of a massive transfer speculation in his connections with Liverpool and Eddie Howe after the striker was removed again.
Eddie Howe reveals that Alexander Isaac remains banished from his Newcastle teammate – and does not expect him to come back anytime soon. The Swedish striker is at the heart of huge speculation, and Liverpool wants to sign him.
The Reds have already rejected more than £100 million for ISAK, but the striker himself has filed a transfer request. He didn’t join his teammates on the club’s preseason tour to Asia.
While he is now back northeast, the striker has not yet trained with Newcastle’s first team. After Friday evening’s pre-season friendliness, Isaac’s missed game against Espanyol – Hau revealed that he’s not yet comfortable going back to his ideas and undoing Isaac.
He said: “We had an argument, and it’s clear at this point that he can’t get involved in the group. I don’t know how long it will last. It’s clear that at this point we can’t get him into the team.

“He trains later than the rest of the teams. There has been debate since the tour. I don’t think there has been any disciplinary action.
“He’s here, so of course he has a future in Newcastle. From our perspective, we want him to come back with the team, but the situation is right for that to happen.”
Newcastle currently has only a week left to prepare for the first Premier League match of the season against Aston Villa. When asked if ISAK could appear in the game, Howe was not particularly optimistic.

He replied: “I want Alex to play today. I want him to train tomorrow. We want the players to be with us, let’s make that clear.
“There’s no part of me that I don’t want that outcome, but I don’t think the current situation has changed before Aston Villa.”
Isaac enjoyed Newcastle’s sensational season in the first half as he scored 27 goals in all competitions. The original, real Sociedad star remains in a contract with Newcastle for three years.
Magpies have so far faced difficulties finding a successor to Isaac. They were previously linked to Hugo Ekichike, but only to see him move to Liverpool. Benjamin Sesco has since become a major target, but he is now at risk of moving to Manchester United.
