Alexander Isaac’s dream of a move to Liverpool has been shattered after Newcastle United revealed that the striker is not on sale this summer – and he is not a happy man. Telegraph reports that Swedish International will continue training separately from the first team as they did not receive the news well. Furthermore, it is claimed that he will not be featured again for Newcastle, despite being an Eddie Howe charmer until he accepts that the move he wants will not come true.
Hau had previously proposed at the club that Isaac might leave in three years. However, Saudi Magpie owners have taken a firm stance on the sale of players. Liverpool’s hopes were countered last week when Newcastle rejected a huge £110 million bid. The Reds decide they won’t increase their offers unless the situation at St. James Park changes, but it appears not to be the case despite Isaac being upset and angry due to the move, despite the switch being blocked.
It is understood that even if Newcastle signs a new striker, they will not reverse Isaac’s decisions. They were currently in discussions to sign Joa Wissa of Brentford to replace Callum Wilson, and were interested in something like Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson, who was considered Isaac’s successor.
However, the new centre forward is brought in to compete and plays with Isaac rather than replacing him. Realizing the club’s hierarchy position, Hau has the task of managing the situation with dissatisfied players.
Isak didn’t take part in the pre-season Asian tour, but later found training at his former club Real Sociedad. The club recognizes that a gentle approach has encouraged his reintegration into the team and chose to punish him for his antics.
Newcastle asserts that the 25-year-old must understand that it cannot simply be forced to exit the club. Hau hopes he will return to the team, but admitted that his current actions would prevent him from being involved.
Hau said:
“I want Alex to play today, I want him to train tomorrow. We want the players to be with us. Let’s make that clear. There’s no part of me that I don’t want the outcome, but the current situation at Aston Villa hasn’t changed.”
