Ethan Nwaneri committed his long-term future to Arsenal after signing a five-year new contract with the Emirates.
The first contract at the 18-year-old was his first professional contract with the club and was set to expire next summer.
After putting the pen on paper in fresh words, he told the club’s website:

“I’m very excited about what I can bring to my team. I want to win as much as I can and help bring happiness and glory to the club. This is where I feel like I’m at home.

“I’m a very versatile player so I think I’m going to play anywhere on the front 5. I’m ready to do what my manager needs.”

Nuwaneri has been with the gunner since the age of eight and is a proud product from the club’s prestigious Hale End Academy.

He joined others like Buka Yosaka and Miles Lewis Skelly and rose to the first team.

The offensive midfielder is the youngest player to appear on Arsenal’s men’s team.

He also holds the record as the youngest player in English top flight history, 15 years old and 181 days, coming out of the bench to face Brentford in September 2022.

Nwaneri is in a respected company alongside Wayne Rooney and Michael Owen as one of three players who scored three Premier League goals before his 18th birthday.

Aside from his club’s exploits, the midfielder was part of the England team that won the UEFA European U21 Championship, and made six appearances in the competition as Lee Carsley’s team defeated Germany in the final.
