Three English Lionesses nominated for the Barondoor Award | Soccer | Sports

England Heroes Hannah Hampton and Michelle Aggieman, as well as manager Salina Wigman, were nominated for honors at the 2025 Ballon d’Or Awards. The ceremony took place in Paris on September 22nd, and FIFA is currently revealing the names of the competitors.

Further representatives of the Lioness line up for the glory of teams in the Women’s Club of the Year category. Arsenal and Chelsea have both been nominated along with Barcelona, Lyon and Orlando Pride.

English players may also be announced when the famous Barondore Feminine candidate is confirmed late this afternoon. Since the awards began in 2018, both Lucy Bronze and Bethmeade have finished second, but the player representing the Lioness has never won.
