Reuben Amorim has targeted Benjamin Sesco as the next Manchester United signature, which can end up Rasmus Hozilund, who had a difficult stint at the club
Reuben Amorim said he cannot guarantee that Rasmus Hoilund will be at Manchester United next season after the club moves towards Benjamin Sesco.
Hojlund scored the opener in the second game of the US preseason tour, where he won Bournemouth 4-1 on the Chicago Soldiers Field. United prioritizes RB Leipzig’s £70 million striker Sesko’s AA move, and Amorim admits that he cannot give Hosilund any guarantees about his future.
He states: “I’m really happy with Rasmus, but I don’t know what will happen until the end of the market. The important thing is, the strikers here are really working really well, they’re improving, they’re helping the team, and that’s the most important thing.
“The important thing is that Rasmus is getting the goal. He’s really connected with the team. He’s improving. Again, we don’t know what will happen until the market closes. With the lack of goals last season, I think Rasmus will tie the plays together, not just the goals.
“Every time we have to kick the ball, we kick the ball when we’re more pressed. His ability to hold the defender and connect to support helps us play better.

“I’m really happy with the players last season. They’re improving. They look like another team today. Let’s continue with that. I’m really happy with Brian (Mbeumo), Mateus (Cunya) and Diego (Leon).
In United’s victory, courtesy of goals from Hozilund, Patrick Dorg, Amado and Ethan Williams, Amorim said:
“The players listen because I think we had better possessions compared to the last game. Of course, scoring first at the start of the game can change the team’s confidence. We change some positions and you feel they know what to do in different positions. It was a good test.
“We controlled Semeño’s Evanilson’s run very well. One, one, Luke Show was really strong. It was a good day. It was just a game of the season. But the feeling with the same player, even the player who plays it looks like a different team, if you look at the same player that you’re playing now, it’s a good sign.
“More than the outcome, it’s the way they play. I think it’s really important. People can’t see it. They also think they’re playing better because they have a better connection to each other. Not just the pitch, they’re off the pitch.
“I think they’re stronger and faster. Of course, at this moment, it’s pre-season. But you can see that the intensity is completely different. The data from the minutes are completely different.
“So we’re improving. But again, it’s a preseason game. The pressure is very different during the season. It’s important to understand that the same players can play different games. I think today was a good day.”
