Manchester United and Newcastle were interested in signing with the Red Devils with the former RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco.
It appears Benjamin Sesco will sign Manchester United to sign that the Newcastle chiefs have already pursued and lost. The Red Devils and Magpies are interested in adding strikers to their team this summer.
RB Leipzig’s Starsesco has emerged as a standout candidate for both sides, and his future now looks uncertain in Germany. Newcastle wants him as a potential replacement for Alexander Isaac, who demanded that he leave St. James Park amid interest from Liverpool.
However, their pursuit of Sesco may have already been abandoned. The Newcastle chief believes he is ready for Old Trafford. According to Mail Online, Eddie Howe’s side is turning his attention to Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz.
There has been no high-level consultations between the two clubs, but an informal investigation was submitted by Newcastle while the intermediaries spoke. The fee of around £40 million is believed to be sufficient to make the transaction.
The 24-year-old Muniz is Brazilian international and joined Fulham in 2021 from Flamengo. He has scored 21 goals in all competitions over the past two seasons.

But he’s not the only striker Newcastle is considering as an alternative. They are also interested in Red Devils target Ollie Watkins, but Chelsea’s Nicholas Jackson is also on the nominee list.
Much depends on the future of Wantaway Forward Isak, and Howe has recently confirmed that travel from the club is not imminent. He said: “He’s still our player. He’s signed with us. We, to some extent, control what’s next for him.
“I would like to believe that all possibilities are still available. My wish is that he will stay, but that is not in my full control. We have not received formal offers from any club to Alex. My wish is that he will stay.

Elsewhere, United boss Reuben Amorim explained his approach to new signatures, including Sesco. He states:
“There are players with a lot of potential, and you need to be aware of that, but you need to know every player that’s coming, you need to know who you are, you need to talk to the players, you need to explain the project.
“And one of the things that really matters is they want to come here. That’s the key point. If we can find someone in the market, help the team and have all the boxes with them, then we’re going to do that.
