Arsenal has seen teenager Max Dowman grabbing headlines before the season, but the club has been warned about how teenagers can get lost when they start to get attention
Mikel Arteta is said to have to be carefully monitored for Arsenal’s senses if he hopes to meet his obvious potential as the 15-year-old continues to turn his head in the preseason.
Gunner allowed teenagers to become part of the first team while preparing for a new campaign, and he was impressed when he was given the chance. He traded Buka Yosaka to make his second senior appearance with the Gunners before enjoying a great cameo in Arsenal’s 3-2 victory at Newcastle.
His first outing was against AC Milan. Douman scored a late, decisive penalty against the Magpie, and was converted by Martin Odegard.
Warnock hopes that young people, still male students, will not be led in the wrong direction or poorly advised to follow their paths with enormous attention. It only promotes the need to have good people around him.
He told Talksport: “If you’re good enough, you’re old enough. But you have to be careful with your kids as well. You’ll go to your head with a 15-year-old and an Arsenal young man.

Arteta already seems to imply that Douman has a great support network, calling for his parents and insisting that the people of the Emirates continue to lead him along the right path.
He states: “What he did today against this team in the time he was on the pitch is certainly not common for a 15-year-old to witness.
Warnock saw first-hand how the teenager’s senses can make the wrong decisions and was unable to fulfill their potential by working with John Bostock, who was very leaned for the top when the veteran manager was at Crystal Palace.
“That’s difficult. In John’s case, when I made my debut at the palace to him, I told him, “If you’re here, you’ll play 50 or 60 games in the next few years and your career will take off.” But I think his dad had a big impact on him.
Arsenal, like many clubs, has seen young players enjoy breakout moments just to struggle to continue their upward trajectory. However, Arteta manages the development of players like Ethan Nwaneri, who is now the first team performer.
