Arsenal is targeting Crystal Palace star Ebekieze’s move and has additional incentives to allow England International to take advantage of additional incentives if he joins the gunners
Arsenal hopes that the prospect of handing over Ebebeki will help his ideal shirt figures sweeten the possible moves from Crystal Palace. Gunner has made his latest AIDS priorities after signing striker Victor Gyoker for £63.7 million to end the long-term transfer saga.
Mikel Arteta was keen to improve his team after another shortfall in the title race last year. Arsenal has so far spent on midfield centre pairs Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard, goalkeeper Kepa Alizabaraga, Chelsea winger Noni Madue, Valencia defender Christian Mosquera and new striker Gyoker.
Eze has been consistently fascinated throughout his time at the palace, finishing last season with 25 goal contributions, including the winner of the club’s first FA Cup victory. The attacking midfielder wore a 10th-ranked shirt for most of his career. This is a team Arsenal has not used since last summer when Emile Smith Lowe allowed Fulham to join Fulham for £34 million.

When he asked earlier whether he was angry at Smith Lowe’s departure, the Arsenal boss confessed. “A lot. When I talked to Emile, I really felt that.
“I think he was the player who clicked on our supporters and teams. I don’t know how to explain that, but that was my feelings. When he came to the team, he quickly created another energy.
“And I feel like ‘Argh’, I don’t have the best from him. Obviously a lot happened in the meantime.
“It was really sad from my side, because I know how their boys feel when they’re in that building, so I feel a great responsibility to give them a chance because everyone knows how hard they work to get them closer to the first team. And now can they make us better?”
Miller Football understands that gunners held discussions last month about Eze’s potential deal. The 27-year-old has a £608 million release clause on his contract, but Arsenal is looking for a move around the £60 million mark. The club has considered offering Reiss Nelson as part of a swap deal, but the midfielder is Fulham’s target.
The vacant shirt number has been ranked 10th at the palace since 2021, and was able to appeal to Eze, who had worn the same number in his last two seasons at QPR. Arsenal icons such as Paul Merson, Dennis Bergkamp and Mesut Ozil each wore shirts No. 10.
However, Palace boss Oliver Glasner was interested in Eze and captain Mark Guech and insisted that his team could not afford to sell the star player. The club started slowly through the summer window due to a dispute where European competition was allowed in.
“Even though all the players are still here, we haven’t made the most of the transfer window so far,” Grasner admitted to Austrian outlet Kronen Zeyton. “We were more active earlier this year and we were promised to bring in new players.
“At the moment, I have 17 outfielders. I hope I don’t lose them anymore. If that happens and you get four new players on the deadline like last year, you can have another false start.”
