Arsenal 0-1 Tottenham: Pape Matar Sarr scored the only goal of the game as Viktor Gyoker first appeared in Gunners alongside Cristhian Mosquera
Arsenal fell into a surprising defeat against Tottenham as the preseason campaign continued in Hong Kong. Pape Matar Sarr’s Wondergoal separated their Premier League rivals in an overwhelming derby.
The talented midfielder defeated the deadlock on halftime crisis when David Raya was caught well from his line. Spurs Ace insisted the ball from the half-hearted line before delivering the efforts cultivated into the Gunners net via Raya.
Tottenham had already done woodworking multiple times, but their better work was disrupting the Arsenal play. Kai Havertz saw a penalty scream thrown in the opening 45 minutes as Gunners struggled to find the net.
Mikel Arteta’s team improved during the second period, but neither team was able to add another name to the scoresheet. Despite Arsenal being able to apply more pressure in the second period, the sides managed only one shot on their targets.
Mirror Football looks at the key points of the story that come out of the game.

Arsenal kept me waiting
Christian Norgaard was only one of Arsenal’s summer signatures that started the game on Thursday. Mikel Arteta warned that Viktor Gyoker should be evaluated before the game and could probably only feature from the bench, but even Martin Zubimendi was playing for over an hour before reaching the pitch.
Defender Christian Mosquera was made to wait for his first few minutes, in addition to Gyoker. However, 77 minutes later, the Swedish striker and Spanish defender joined the pitch along with 15-year-old Max Douman.
Despite recording 15 shots, Arsenal was able to find a target only once. Arteta hopes Gyoker can resolve the issue soon.
The previous sports forward showed a lot that he was willing to run the channel, but his teammates struggled to find him in the short time he was on the pitch. However, there is still time for all involved to grow up before the season begins.
Worrying about injuries
We’ve seen a risk-free approach in the preseason, but we can’t come without fear. The gunners didn’t want to run Viktor Gyoker, but goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga was removed from the team.
The former Chelsea goalkeeper has not acted, but was seen in training early in the week. The summer signature was attended Kaituck Sports Park, but on Thursday there were no gloves.
On the other side, Dominique Solanke was not yet involved in the Spurs’ efforts as the season continues to draw close. The forward had minor ankle injuries and saw him missed against Luton before the training sessions held in Hong Kong over the weekend.
The fear involved in preseason behavior was evident when Miles Lewis Skelly needed treatment. Arsenal’s mind was in his mouth as Physio assessed his status on the pitch, but fortunately he seemed to escape with a slight shock problem and was able to continue.
Tell the moment
His son Hyun Min was more influential than most of Tottenham in his decade at the club. But all the signs point to the end of the moment.
Although we don’t read much of the preseason starting lineup, the presence of Wilson Odebert, Mohammed Kudus, Matistel and Brennan Joson all appear on the field before the Korean captain tells the story.
The cynical mind will say that it will be preserved in Tottenham until after his son visits Korea in the next few days. The move to Los Angeles FC could follow that game in Seoul.
Thomas Frank previously said: “We’re looking at players who can play a very good role here next season. He’s been very good thinking, very trained and pushed the players. So I’m excited about it.”
You’ll understand immediately.
North London Derby Overseas
It was not dramatic, it was a fractising opportunity. Arsenal and Tottenham are by no means really friendly, but both teams at different stages of preparation lacked strength.
Officials didn’t allow a flowing game that looked like the whistle was being blown away permanently. However, the game was played abroad for the first time, and probably lacked some of the material associated with meetings.
If the goalkeeper’s warm-up is interrupted by the dragon passing, it probably indicates that the action is not full throttle. But there was a partisan crowd as those who supported Arsenal were far superior to those who supported their rivals.
Same goes for Saka
It wasn’t the best outing for England International, but there’s no doubt that Saka will remain essential to Arsenal. He was defeated over and over by Rodrigo Bentanchour and DJed Spence, and tried to break to the right.
Saka was eventually replaced after receiving treatment later in the second phase. With a drink break, the wingers were out of the range of the pitch, so hopefully it wasn’t too serious.
