According to L’Equipe, United have begun discussions with Brighton to discuss the terms of the potential transfer, but have yet to learn their asking price. Arsenal and Liverpool are also taking part in the Valeva competition, but it is currently argued that United is considered in Paul’s position.
The report adds that Reuben Amorim sees Valeva as one of the pillars of his project at Old Trafford, where he is preparing for his first full season.
Meanwhile, David Ornstein reports that United contacted Brighton via an intermediary, which could possibly be a complicated deal.
Brighton is said to want to keep Valeva in at least another season and is not sanctioning the summer sale.
The transfer guru says United recognizes that the Switch this summer could be unrealistic, especially if the club continues to struggle to sell players.
