Manchester United are tied to Benjamin Sesco’s move, but Reuben Amorim doesn’t seem satisfied with signing the young Slovenian
Manchester United manager Reuben Amorim will turn to sign two more players, even if he secures a deal with Benjamin Sesco. The Red Devils are pursuing RB Leipzig forward, who has also been selected by Newcastle United, and are said to be the front line for his signature.
Amorim is already busy with the transfer window, kicking out another £71 million with Brentford attacker Brian Mbeumo after the £62.5 million Wolverhampton Wanderers advanced Matheus Cunha. However, with United taking over from the looted Eric Ten Hag, Amorim is still trying to strengthen his team with United’s form on the floor.
The 22-year-old Sesko could cost a unified £70 million, and will need to spend more than the £2 million mark. Nevertheless, according to a recent report, Amorim wants to add even more depth to his team.

According to the Sun, if the Red Devils secure Sesco’s signature, Amorim will still want to add two more players to his team. One of them is Andreonana’s backup goalkeeper.
Antwerp’s shot stopper Senne Lammens is understood to be in their vision at this moment. However, when United was tied to the surprising movements of Genluigi Donnaruma in Paris Saint-Germain No. 1, Onana’s future as number one was also questionable.
The Italian only has one year left in his contract at Park des Princess, but talks about a new contract in the French capital have recently been hit by a wall. Manchester Evening News recently said Onana has been informed of his position as United’s No. 1 remains still in place, but shotstoppers often remain largely left to be desired.
Onana, 29, was signed up to 10 hugs from Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 for £47 million. There were some positive moments, but the Cameroonians were almost inconsistent.
Meanwhile, second-choice goalkeeper Altai Bayindeal has been featured primarily in the League Cup and FA Cup. Turkey International has only played in the Premier League four times despite being handed the number one shirt when he signed from Fenerbafe for £4.3 million the same summer.
However, it is clear that Sesko’s movement takes priority over everything else. Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that United would send a “formal bid” to Leipzig.
Newcastle is still linked to him and recently rejected Alexander Isaac’s £110 million bid from Liverpool. However, amid rumors, current United forward Rasmus Hojlund has pledged to compete for his place, red.
Dane recently said: “My plan is very clear and I think it’s about me staying and fighting for my place no matter what happens. Competition is fine with me.
“I’m ready. I’m in a sharp mood. So I’m welcome everything that comes. It’s just good at competing and sharpening the team.
“I think I’m still very young. I think people sometimes forget that. I’m 22. Obviously not all strikers score 100 goals at 22. But I’ve learned a lot. I think you can see it in my game.”
