Manchester United were busy with the summer transfer window as Reuben Amorim is about to refresh a team that struggled in the lower half of the table in the previous quarter
According to Kobbie Mainoo, the Manchester United team “gelted” during their US tour, celebrating the impact of the new signature signing Matheus Cunha. A £62.5 million signature from the wolves, Cunha was impressed with United’s 2-1 US tour opening victory at West Ham, New Jersey.
“I think adding Matheus brings me something different again and it worked out in the last game,” Mainoo said. “You can sew him (with poor passes) and he’ll deal with it! He loves to play under pressure and is one to it, so it’s easier for me.
“The team definitely gelled after we got back and new additions – Diego (Leon), Mateus, Brian (Mbeumo), it was really good. That was good.
“It was good. It’s very hot here and in New Jersey, but it was good. The training was good. We all felt good because we got our first win over West Ham.”

United, who still managed to add their ranks in the Benjamin Sesco’s dive, continued their pre-season progression with a 4-1 victory over Bournemouth on Wednesday. Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu and Amad all found the net before youngster Ethan Williams joined the action.
Reuben Amorim’s side will play the final Premier League Summer Series match against Everton in Atlanta on Sunday. There will then be some home-friendly with Fiorentina, and the Premier League opening game will take place on August 17th at his home in Arsenal.
Rival Arsenal is busy in the transfer market itself. They completed a one-off United target Viktor Gyoker’s £63.7 million dive and signed Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Maduke, Christian Norgaard and Cristhian Mosquera.
“Of course there were other clubs, but this wasn’t a difficult choice. I chose Arsenal,” Gyoker said.
Arsenal captain Martin Odegard is already impressed by the Swedes. The numbers speak for itself, especially last season in sports.
He is a very complete player. He is physical, strong, fast, a great finisher and intelligent. You can also hunger and see the energy he brings. He has been trained only a few times, but you can already see quality and motivation. ”
