Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling is reportedly attracting interest from other parts of the Premier League. The Bruce has not kept a secret that they are keen to offload forwards this summer. He remains firmly in the star in the shop window at Stamford Bridge.
Sterling has been struggling since joining Chelsea in 2022, and his loan spell at Arsenal further highlighted why his career needs a comeback to reassert himself as a top talent and put himself in the frame to return to international football.
The 30-year-old was leaning widely for travelling abroad as a result. The change in scenery was seen as an ideal way to help the former Manchester City star get his career back on track. However, staying in the Premier League seems to be an option.
According to Talksport, West Ham maintains a very close tab about Sterling’s situation, and Graham Potter was an acute admirer of the versatile forward after building a “good collaboration” with him during his stint as the Blues boss.
Hammer is not just interested in them, as Fulham and Crystal Palace are also keen to acquire his services. And Sterling’s preference to stay in London gives them a real opportunity to secure his signature. If you have a change of heart to a winger and want to head abroad, Juventus is waiting.
Sterling is currently training with a group of Chelsea players the club is trying to lend, but permanent departures are preferred.
With Jamie Gittens already arriving at Stamford Bridge from Borussia Dortmund and both Zabi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho looking, it appears that Sterling is at the bottom of Enzo Maresca’s pecking order and therefore he has no chance to turn things around at the club.
It remains to be seen whether he will push him to reunite with Potter at West Ham, or whether he will be open to enjoying the fun with Fulham or Crystal Palace.
