Benjamin Sesco reportedly wielded the fight for Manchester United’s signature as RB Leipzig Ponder bids from Red Devils and Premier League rival Newcastle. The highly rated striker is now claimed to be trapped in the dream move for Old Trafford with a big boost from Reuben Amorim.
Sesco’s war of bidding prompted Leipzig to make a big decision. Newcastle reportedly saw an offer of £71 million to Slovenia International, which the German club accepted. United have yet to see any proposals that take into account the green light. The current offers are reported to be around £65 million and £9 million. However, Sesko is said to have now revealed to all political parties that it is their desire to lead the forward line of the Red Devils next season.
According to Athletic, Leipzig is aware of Sesco’s preferences and is working to ensure a switch to Old Trafford. While there has not yet been an agreement between the two clubs, it is argued that the situation is moving rapidly in that direction.
Despite the fact that Newcastle is ready to offer Leipzig more money and has the advantage of playing in the Champions League next season, the decision for Sesco to join United will come. The 22-year-old will be at the forefront of United with a new look next season.
Amorim has bolstered the attack with the addition of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. United reportedly missed signing Chelsea’s joining Liam Dellup earlier this summer, initially examining the costs of signing Aston Villa forward Ollie Watkins.
England International was considered too expensive, so United turned their attention to Sesco. Amorim desperately needed a new centre forward after scoring Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, who only scored seven Premier League goals during last season.
Sesko scored 21 goals in all competitions last season, 13 of which appeared in 33 Bundesliga appearances.
Meanwhile, Newcastle was chasing the former RB Salzburg star as a potential replacement for Alexander Isaac. Swedish International is interested in Liverpool. Liverpool has seen the bids turned down by the magpie.
It remains to be seen whether Tyneside’s outfit will allow Isaac to leave as Newcastle reportedly plans to miss Sesco. Newcastle was able to stay in the market for a new centre forward, especially if their star striker insists on joining Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer period.
