Wakins could be a replacement for Sesco
According to Sun, Ollie Watkins is ready to move to Manchester United.
The Red Devils are fighting Newcastle in pursuit of RB Leipzig striker, reporting that the former has launched a bid of just under £74 million.
However, if Sesco chooses to join Newcastle, Reuben Amorim’s side will have an alternative to Aston Villastar Watkins.
“SunSport understands that following interest from Arsenal in January, it feels like Watkins is right when he leaves Villa Park.
“And his wish may overlap with Aston Villa’s villa. Aston Villa is also facing a fight to keep summer spending within PSR limits.”
According to the report, “A bid of £40-£50 million could be enough to praise Watkins from the villa.”

Man Utd has a “secret weapon” in Sesko Bid
Manchester United have advantages in pursuing Benjamin Sesco, and Miller reports that RB Leipzig striker has a history with the club’s recruitment director.
Christopher Vibel, now United’s recruitment director, took the lead role in RB Leipzig, signing the Slovenians of RB Salzburg in 2023. Since then, he has scored 39 goals in 87 appearances.
“United wants Bibel, who signed Leipzig forward, to begin with, will have another ace on his sleeve.
“And before Leipzig, when Bibel was in Red Bull Salzburg, he reportedly discovered Sesco at the age of 16 and signed him by Slovenian club Donzale.
“As someone he trusts, Sesco might prefer to join United, who worked with Vivell in the past, despite his high chance of becoming a major Newcastle man.”

Man Utd reduces Maguire bids
Manchester United have declined Harry Maguire’s bid from the “Premier League and Italian clubs,” the email reports.
The Red Devils are said to be determined to hold the defender and can offer him a new contract that will keep him at the club until the end of his career.
“But we still can’t see if that’s happening or not, Italy’s three top flight sides and two have explored Maguire’s move this summer and turned their backs.
“The 32-year-old believes that the current £190,000 deal will expire at the end of the upcoming season. His camp declined to comment, but he is believed to be keen to stay at United, which took part in 2019 from Leicester City for £80 million.
“While there has not been any discussion yet when extending Maguire’s contract, the message to stakeholders is believed to be United wanting to protect him.”

Villa opens to sell Ramsey
Aston Villa is able to sell Jacob Ramsey, and West Ham is interested in midfielders.
The email believes Villa is ready to hear the roughly £40 million offer for Ramsey, but the 24-year-old still rates his options.
“Ramsey is praised by Villa boss Unai Emery, but his position as a player in his country means that the final transfer fee represents the pure profits of the club account.
“Villa has been happy to listen to Ramsey’s offer since the transfer period began and is believed to be valued at around £40 million.
“While they haven’t made a formal offer yet, Hammer is believed to have identified Ramsey as the ideal player to strengthen the midfield, Mail Sports understands that so far they are not yet convinced of the idea that the 24-year-old will be joining Villa’s Premier League rivals.”
