Manchester United reportedly rejected several offers from Harry Maguire this summer. The defender has noticed high demand over the past few weeks as teams in the Premier League and elsewhere in Europe are trying to secure his signature.
Reuben Amorim is centered around orchestracing his United rank reconstruction this summer, with the former sports boss injecting fresh feet into the attack with the signatures of Brian Mbeumo and Mash Kuña. RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesco is also attracting attention.
Reinforcements are also under consideration elsewhere, as well as other central midfielders offering alternative options such as Casemiro, Bruno Fernandez and Manuel Ugarte.
However, the central defense appears to be an area of the team where Amorim is happy. Therefore, United are not in a hurry to leave Maguire. According to the Daily Mail, Red Devils have already knocked back five separate approaches from the Leicester star this summer.
Three Premier League clubs attempted to seduce a 32-year-old child from Old Trafford.
However, despite growing interest, Maguire is happy with the Theatre of Dreams, potentially extending his contract with the club and showing off the rest of his career at United. The defenders hope to put Red Devils legends like Steve Bruce and Brian Robson into their clubs and lead them into their glory days.
The current contract between Maguire and United will expire at the end of next season, but there is no sense of urgency to hold discussions as all involved are said to be on the same page about the extension. With the centre-back currently earning £190,000, it is still unclear whether Old Trafford’s new rise will be willing to record offers in the area again for the aging star.
Maguire justifies a show of faith from Amorim and Co in his upcoming campaign, cementing himself as a mainstay as part of United’s Bucksley, proving that his leadership is important on and off the pitch.
