Erling Haaland and Myles Lewis-Skelly enjoy a tense relationship while facing rivals in the Premier League, and the Manchester City star responded to the Arsenal Ace celebration
Ehring Haaland finally spoke the moment Arsenal star Miles Lewis Skelly copied his celebration to make him laugh last season. And the Manchester City Sharpshooter brought a modest response to the action that sparked a lot of chatter in February.
The duo formed a tense relationship on the pitch in two Premier League matches they faced each other last season. Haaland asked his opponent, “Who are you?” In a fierce game at the beginning of the season, City scored an equalizer for the 98th minute.
The Norwegian striker’s fiery statement came out in Lewis Skelly’s debut in the afternoon. He also told Gunners boss Mikel Arteta to be “humble.” Flashpoint wasn’t the moment teenage star Lewis Skelly would soon forget.
And he confirmed that he would dig in Haaland when the sides turned at the Emirates and the English international scored in a 5-1 driving force for Pep Guardiola’s team. The youngsters recreated their rivals’ lotus poses and meditation celebrations.
It was a moment that prompted a lot of laughter and some criticism. Looking back at the incident, Haaland was blown away more than most.

“They won the game 5-1, so they got me,” he told time. “If he wants to use the moment to laugh at me, that’s fair enough for him. He can do whatever he wants to do.”
It was not the first time I’d seen Haaland use his celebration against him. While still playing for Borussia Dortmund, Neymar produced it to hit him, but the entire Paris Saint-Germain team recreated it full-time for the same match.
Haaland is not upset. “If he wants to use the moment to laugh at me, that’s fair enough for him. He can do whatever he wants to do.”
The giant striker is hoping to form part of Manchester City’s leadership team next season and bring Stoicism to the team.
“I have a pretty calm mind,” Haaland said. “Even if the situation can be a little wild, it’s good to bring to others too.”
The unfortunate failure behind City defending the Premier League title last season and the Premier League title. “I almost forgot about it until you started talking about it,” Haaland added.
“You can’t keep thinking about last season. Last season wasn’t enough. And so was this. That’s the best part of football. There’s always something new.
