Chelsea may still be chasing the signature at the transfer window this summer, but Enzo Maresca’s manager has become ruthless with the player he wants for the door. In a brutal message, the Italian left nine famous players from his team list for the 2025/26 season, sending a clear message to his senior players.
The Bruce returned to training Monday following his Club World Cup victory in the United States. They will now perform friendship at both Bayer Lebakusen and AC Milan before the Premier League opener at Crystal Palace on August 17th. However, many players are basically told that if they choose to stay in West London they will not participate in the 2025/26 season.
Raheem Sterling is the most notable star following his loan spell at Arsenal last season. The 30-year-old is under siege three years after the £47.5 million move from Manchester City, which had been frozen since the Italians’ arrival 12 months ago.
Ben Chilwell is also missing from the list. Carney Chukwuemeka is another player to be banished amid speculation about his return to Borussia Dortmund on the Bundesliga side.
French midfielder Leslie Ugochuk, who was loaned out in Southampton in 2024/25, is another player. Defenders Axel Disasi, Renato Veiga and Alfie Gilchrist have joined him by the trio All All All Detweat S.
Maresca also cut back on two options ahead of him. Although Amand Bruha has been omitted as he is negotiating a move to Burnley, David Datro Foffana has no other name after a temporary move to the Turkish side was cut short by injuries.
Along with the list, the club issued a dull warning that they were not given time to prove themselves at Stamford Bridge. It also appears to be a message this summer for one of the new signatures, including Liam Dellup, Joan Pedro, and Jamie Gittens.
Chelsea already sells seven players in this window. Noni Maduke, Joao Felix and goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Djorde Petrovic were departed by Bashit Humphries, Mathis Amougou and Marcus Betinelli.
