Anthony Gordon was exposed to forwarding a possible move to Liverpool last summer, but after seeing the initial bid been rejected, the Reds’ attention now relating to Alexander Isaac
Anthony Gordon has confirmed he plans to leave Newcastle for Liverpool last summer and has revealed he has sympathy for his hopes of Alexander Isaac, who is currently being pursued by the Reds.
Magpies rejected ISAK’s bid from Arne Slot’s side for 12 months from Gordon’s close range. The deal that saw Gordon head to Anfield was explored as Newcastle tried to manage the rules of Premier League profits and sustainability, but the attacker eventually remained at St. James Park.
This summer, Isaac hopes for an opportunity to leave despite the fact that Newcastle is not for sale.
Magpies are understood to want a fee of at least £150 million to say goodbye to their precious assets, which scored 27 goals in the previous term. ISAK is currently training at Real Sociedad on the current club’s preseason tour and training alone.
And amidst the uncertainty that Gordon sympathizes with his teammates, he reassures that he has no speculation for another summer. “Yeah, as far as I’m concerned, I’m not linked to the club. I’m very happy where I’m. I’m enjoying football again and feel refreshed,” Gordon said.

“It was difficult for me, because I had the euro, so it was mentally scary. I was there, I wasn’t playing,” the Newcastle star said of last summer.
“Then I had a transfer. With the PSR, I was thinking I was going to leave at some point in the window. That didn’t happen. I had to grab it from the start.
“That’s really difficult, so that’s why I understand what Alex is going through now.”
“The last three years have been extremely mentally exhausting for me,” Gordon continues, reflecting on a series of summers that have linked him to things like Chelsea and Tottenham before joining Newcastle.
“Soccer has become like a chore. There was always a lot of noise around me. There was a lot of games, and I never had a summer, and it was draining me in the end.
“You can see, I’m really refreshed. I’ve regained my appetite due to football and my hunger. I feel it.
“For Alex, I feel him too. It’s difficult. People forget you’re human in that scenario. He goes through a lot. The club has gone through a lot. I hope everyone gets what they want in the end.”
Former Everton star Gordon highlighted the team’s difficulties during his discussions about Isaac. The 24-year-old says the magpies are left in the dark for details about the situation.
“It’s difficult for us, because there’s a lot we can actually do,” he said. “We don’t really know a lot. I think people always know the players in and out. The reality is that we aren’t.
“Listen, it’s just noise. There’s not much we can do. That’s a question for the manager because he probably feels it more or for people who are higher at the club. As a player, you just need to play. Do what we need and do the basics.”
