Reuben Amorim was the first Manchester United boss appointed by Ir Jim Ratcliffe after his arrival in Old Trafford. Portuguese coaches revealed how often they speak
Reuben Amorim revealed his “no-bull****” relationship with Manchester United co-owner Jim Ratcliffe. Amorim is riding in the pair because he regularly speaks and sends Ratcliffe, communicates, and shares the same straight talk approach.
“We talk on the phone, he sends a message to me and he sends a GIF to me,” Amorim said. “You call it a gif? It’s like a joke. So we have this kind of relationship.
“I think it’s really easy to deal with Jim. If you know what yours, know how to explain your decision, it’s easy in the sense that he’s fine.
“If you’re going to use some bulls with him in big words, he’s going to knock you, so for me it’s really easy.
“I know he is the owner of the club. I know where I am. But when I need to say something, I naturally need to say it with a bull****. I can say it – I am not a bull****.

Amorim’s claims about Ratcliffe are among the lofty claims made by the Portuguese coach. He suggests that with the support of Ineos Supremo and the support of other Red Devils chiefs, the club can be restored at the top of the English game.
He states:
“I think that’s clear. And then money. We have money. We have money without the Champions League. So we have money and we have more money in the future. We do everything.

“You’re talking to Omar (Berada, CEO) and all of these people. They’re all strategizing to make more money in the future. That doesn’t matter.
“I think it’s obviously a culture. If we have a different culture, all of that, all of our pedigrees, all of these things, we can go back to our place – that’s clear.”
Amorim will continue to prepare for this weekend’s new season as United faces America’s Everton. They will then face the final preseason game against Fiorentina ahead of the season opener against Arsenal.
