Alexander Isaac was Liverpool’s latest summer recruitment drive, and Eddie Howe spoke about the situation after the Reds rejected an opening bid.
Eddie Howe admits he is ignorant about where Alexander Isaac’s future lies after Liverpool’s rejection bid. The Newcastle star has emerged as the Reds’ next big name target for their lucrative summer recruitment drive.
Isaac is separated from the rest of his magpie teammates in the middle of the Asian preseason tour after demanding that he leave St. James’s Park. Liverpool made their first effort to sign him by submitting a £110 million bid earlier this week.
It was quickly rejected by Newcastle, who wants nearly £150 million, and Liverpool is now ready to leave the potential deal if they feel they can’t do that. During the drama, Howe made an update and said he had no contact with his star striker, but he said he could not predict his immediate future.
“I know where he really is through the media,” Hau said at a press conference in Seoul. “From that perspective, it’s difficult to go to all sorts of details. The situation is far from ideal and very complicated.”
Regarding Liverpool’s rejected offer, the Newcastle boss added:

“People who have returned to England are dealing with the situation. We don’t know what will happen next. From our perspective, we still support Alex in all respects.
Asked whether Liverpool’s interest had become unstable ahead of the new season, Howe replied. “Because we only deal with reality because we don’t know what will happen from this point on, and the reality is that we had our first bid from Liverpool and we were turned down from this point on.
“From my perspective, we can talk about our actions. We try to do things the right way. Signing players is always complicated. We try to do what we think is right. We can’t talk about other clubs.”

And while Hau remained somewhat calm, it doesn’t seem to be the same behind the scenes. Some claim that Liverpool “crashed” alongside the Newcastle star, according to an online email.
However, the club chief has sympathy for the forward, who believes he is being heavily advised amid the rage of the transfer.
