Benjamin Sesco “Deadline Set for Transfer Deadline” Soccer | Sports

Newcastle United reports that within 24 hours of holding a new talk on Sunday, they will learn about Benjamin Sesco’s favourite summer transfer. RB Leipzig striker will decide whether he wants to join Newcastle or Premier League rival Manchester United after becoming a priority target for both clubs.

Leipzig had already refused a formal bid from the Magpie, and he tried to catch United off guard by offering a £70 million package over the weekend. The Bundesliga outfits weren’t happy with the payment structure, but negotiations wouldn’t take long if Sesco chose St. James Park.

From a sporting standpoint, Newcastle could represent a more attractive option given that there is Champions League football this season.

Sesco could also be responsible for replacing Alexander Isaac as the boy in Eddie Howe’s poster, provided that his Liverpool moves around.

But United boasts unparalleled tradition and history, but it shows clear ambitions to quickly track Reuben Amorim’s project this summer.

Both Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo snub Newcastle to seal the movement at the M16 for a total of £133.5 million.

So it’s no surprise that Tyneside is afraid that lightning could attack a third time in the summer when some targets chose alternative destinations.

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle will speak to a representative from Sesco on Sunday and will be looking to find out where his heart is in the next 24 hours.

The Northeast side is not expected to submit an improved bid, while preferences for the 22-year-old are unknown.

And the report adds that the longer he waits to hear Sesco’s decision, the more likely he will be to try and bring United together to make their move.

With the Premier League season starting less than two weeks later, Newcastle wants plenty of time to pursue alternatives if the Slovenians can’t achieve it.

However, the Magpies have retained their hopes for a trade and are claiming they are maintaining contact with Leipzig about the structure of the £70 million approach.

At the same time, Newcastle is about to lure Joan Wissa out of Brentford.

The final bid reportedly is worth £30 million and add-ons £5 million, but Brentford is reluctant to sell Mbeumo after losing it to United.
